The professional scanning is accomplished in a Fuji C-550 Lanovia, a scanner used in the graphic industry, the one who over throned the drum scanners.
It is aimed at the scanning of transparent originals, such as black and white, color and slide films, also negative glass plates and over sized opaques, once its platen accommodates originals of up to 330 x 457 mm (13 x 18").
The scanning of old books, tiles and graphic art works it is not constrained by any means, due to its flat platen and a depth of field of 12 mm.
